New Orleans, LA (Aug. 27, 2024) – This week, Petrotech conducted a customer Factory Acceptance Test for one of two retrofit Control systems. This test includes replacing their Generator controls for their GE LM2500 Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Generators. The FAT utilized simulators that replicate our customers Gas Turbines & plant operation at their power Generation plants in Arkansas. These two Control Systems that Petrotech designed, engineered and manufactured will be installed and commissioned by Petrotech field Engineers in October 2024. This latest project was awarded to Petrotech due to the customer’s satisfaction with executing and commissioning the first project. This first to replace their obsolete GE LM6000 Gas Turbine Generator control systems.

The GE LM6000 retrofit Control systems have now been operating successfully, four years after the Factory Acceptance Test. It remains functional at this same Power Plant, and our current GE LM2500 Retrofit control system project will be due for installation later this year.
